Amy Lou Adams Amy Lou Adams (born on 20th August 1974 in Aviano, Italy). American actress. Known for playing naive delightful characters. Adams was one of seven siblings that grew up as a young child in Castle Rock, Colorado. Adams was born when her father worked for the U.S. Military in Italy. In the mid-1990s she began performing professionally and dancing in Boulder's Dinner Theatre and the Country Dinner Playhouse in Colorado. Then in Minnesota, at a local theatre, she was a cast as a character in an unrealized documentary film about beauty pageants called Drop Dead Gorgeous. When she made her screen debut as a ditzy but good-natured contestant she moved into Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. Janet Leigh got married to Tony Curtis between June 1951 until September 1962. Her children include Kelly Curtis (and Jamie Lee Curtis) and Jamie Lee Curtis. Leigh's film career began when she signed an MGM contract in the late 1940s. She was discovered by actress Norma Shearer. Leigh was a star in a variety of popular films during the next decade, including Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (from the year 1960) and Living It Up (1954) which starred Martin Lewis.
